- waterz matty Review added: 2018.03.24★ ★ ★ ★ ★For the Second year running we stayed at Hawkrigg Farm, it was ideal for visiting the Appleby Horse Fair without being to close to town centre, we found Audrey the owner to be very welcoming and friendly and we have once again felt very welcome this year, the site enjoys magnificent views across the Fell's, people must realise this is a working farm but to be honest this doesn't impact the site one bit, we got home today and I am missing it already, the only negative I could put is I think the site is too cheap and I would gladly pay double for the views alone, once again thanks to everyone at Hawkrigg Farm.
